Description
Join the Virtual Town Hall led by Dr. Gregory A. Miller, Center for Responsible Travel (CREST) Executive Director, as we discuss South Lake Tahoe's tourism recovery and thirteen guidelines in rebalancing the tourism model.
CREST and its partners collected information of COVID-19 impacts from the tourism sector. This research provided background and insight towards developing a framework for responsible recovery. Redevelopment of tourism must consider COVID-19 and climate change as two crises requiring one coordinated approach towards a sustainable future.
In May of this year, CREST released the book Overtourism: Lessons for a Better Future which explores the issue of overtourism prior to the pandemic then charts the path to a better and regenerative industry
