This research provided background and insight towards developing a framework for responsible recovery. Redevelopment of tourism must consider COVID-19 and climate change as two crises requiring one coordinated approach towards a sustainable future. \n\n\n\nIn May of this year\, CREST released the book Overtourism: Lessons for a Better Future which explores the issue of overtourism prior to the pandemic then charts the path to a better and regenerative industry
