Description
The annual Employment Law Workshop will provide attendees with the latest business laws such as the new minimum wage and hour requirements in California and Nevada and other employment laws changes coming in 2019. This workshop will also delve in to topics such as sexual harassment in the workplace and the "Me Too" laws.
The cost for each Level UP Workshop is $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-chamber members. Be sure to bring your "brown bag" lunch.
The presenter is Brett Sutton, an attorney and owner of the Sutton Hague Law Corporation, which has offices in both California and Nevada. He has nearly thirty years of legal practice experience and is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada. He has trained thousands in all aspects of employment law and his firm conducts bi-monthly webinars on employment law topics for California and Nevada employers. In 2016, he was inducted as a Fellow of the prestigious national College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has the highest possible rating as a practicing attorney from Martindale-Hubbell. He has served for many years as a Contributing Editor of the leading treatise on California Employment Law. He is a Board Director of the Nevada Restaurant Association and serves on the Government Affairs Committee. Brett graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law with honors in 1989, where he was also a member of the Law Review. He resides in the South Lake Tahoe area and handles cases and clients throughout California and Nevada.
