Description
Join the Tahoe Institute For Natural Science (TINS) for a fun evening of sampling single malt scotches paired with delicious food. TINS will guide a tasting of five scotches with diverse personalities, from light and smooth to rare and complex to boldly peaty. The scotches will be accompanied by a four course meal designed to complement the flavors of the evening, with rib-eye steak as the main course.
The tasting will be led by Evan Fletcher, an engaging scotch enthusiast and certified Spirits Specialist, bringing over 10 years experience in the spirits industry. Evan has a deep love and understanding of scotches, the stories behind them, and the experience to help pull out subtle notes and characters found in complex scotch flavor profiles. Under Evan's guidance, this will be a captivating, entertaining, and educational evening.
The single malt scotches of the evening are:
Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask
Aberlour A'Bunadh
Glenmorangie The Taghta
Mortlach Rare Old
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte
Food Provided by local favorite, As You Wish Catering, from Tahoe City, CA
All proceeds support TINS' education and outreach programs!!!
