45th Annual Holiday Faire
Get into the holiday spirit and support community health at the forty-fifth annual Holiday Faire on Sunday, November 8. Community members and visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend this merry event at St. Teresa Grace Hall. Every year, Barton Auxiliary volunteers and employees from The Attic Thrift Store select their favorite holiday and winter donations to sell at the Holiday Faire. Items available for purchase include holiday decorations, jewelry, antiques and collectibles, purses, gifts, and winter wear. ?The Auxiliary volunteers donate countless hours to prepare for this big event,? says Joyce DeWitt, the Auxiliary President. ?It is our largest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds support community health.? In 2014, the Barton Auxiliary raised $240,000 from The Attic and gift shop sales, personal donations, and holiday fundraisers. Barton Home Health and Hospice was given $10,000 for grief support room for patients and their families. The remaining funds are being used to acquire a 3-D Breast Tomosynthesis, an advanced type of mammogram. This year?s funds raised will support xx. The Holiday Faire takes place from 9:00am and 3:00pm. Santa Claus will stop by between 10:00am and 2:00pm and lunch, bake sale treats, and Barton?s famous cheese balls will also be available for purchase. Since 1960, the Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary have been an active group of volunteers who generously give their time and talents to support Barton Hospital, its patients, and the community. Yay for Snow Party at Lucky Beaver Bar & Burger
Yay for Snow Party at Lucky Beaver Bar & Burger The Lucky Beaver has partnered with Heavenly to create what will be THE annual winter celebration here on the south shore. We are not ''praying for snow'' because as I'm sure you are aware, Heavenly is opening a week early due to the great start we have already gotten off to. We are celebrating winter because with or without mother natures help, Heavenly is the premiere mountain in Lake Tahoe with immediate access to a night life that no one else in the country can offer. At The Lucky Beaver we pride ourselves on being the apex of that nightlife. Our plan is to hold the celebration every year on the night before Thanksgiving. This year that date is Wednesday, November 25. The nights festivities at The Lucky Beaver will include a live dj starting at 8pm, The Heavenly Angels, an ice luge, drink specials and incredible prize giveaways including multiple snowboards, apparel, rentals, tune-ups, Heavenly passes and more. We don't have a cutoff time for the celebration as we are a 24 hour location.''
