For this inaugural event in South Lake Tahoe, we are inviting the general public to learn about our LGBTQIA+ community. We have a wonderful line-up of human books who are prepared to share their story and interact with you from a place of curiosity and (un)learning."

A Human Library is a space for human books and readers to engage and converse. Human books tell their story and readers are able to listen and respond thoughtfully with follow-up questions. Although a traditional library often contains a wide assortment of books, a human library focuses on human identities that are typically stigmatized, misunderstood, or unfamiliar to the average person.
