The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club is continuing its long tradition of honoring our brave veterans with a special lunch meeting on Friday, November 13 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm. 

The featured speaker will be Colonel (Retired) Katherine “Kat” Miller. Kat served 34 years in the U.S. Army, culminating her career as a brigade commander in Afghanistan and commander of the Department of Defense’s largest correctional organization. She helped advance strategic Army and joint-service priorities, serving on senior leadership initiatives and high priority task forces. Following her military retirement, Kat was appointed by two Nevada governors to serve as Director of the Nevada Department of Veterans Services, a role she held for 10 years. Kat will give a lively presentation on “What does a grateful nation owe its veterans? 

The lunch meeting will be held at the Tahoe Ridge Club, Tahoe, 400 Ridge Club Drive, Stateline, NV 89449. Let the gate security know you are going to the Rotary meeting. Parking is free-park in any open spot excepting in the garages or the thirty minute spots. Proceed to Building 400 and follow the Rotary signs to the second floor meeting room. 

All veterans are invited to attend free of charge. The general public is also invited to join the celebration. The delicious lunch is $26 featuring a custom pasta buffet with Tuscan chicken, salad, garlic knots and cookies. There will also be a no host beer and wine bar.
