Virtual Town Hall on Preparing for De...
Description
Join us for a timely Virtual Town Hall on Friday, August 20th at 11 AM. The meeting will be led by Dr. Matthew Wonnacott, Barton Health Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Todd Cutler, Lake Tahoe Unified School District Superintendent, to address measures in place given the rise of delta variant cases. The conversation will focus on rising public health concerns and the implications that affect everyone in our community.
The surge of the delta variant is disrupting our long-anticipated recovery and renewing uncertainties for businesses, employees, parents, and students. According to CNBC, nearly 60% of business owners are having to shift business outlooks for the rest of 2021. As plans and expectations shift, parents also navigate new anxieties and processes for sending students back to school.
Nevada has reinstated mask mandates in 12 of its 17 counties including Douglas County. In California, numerous counties have restored mask policies while El Dorado County has yet to make a motion. All California K-12 schools will require masks for all students and staff indoors. Lake Tahoe Unified School District goes back to school August 12, 2021.This town hall is free to attend. Please pre-register above to receive the meeting link and join the conversation.
