DESCRIPTION:This workshop will provide attendees with the latest HR employment law changes coming to California and Nevada in 2020. Register now and make sure that you and your business stay protected in the new year. \n\n\n\nThis critical workshop will provide attendees with the latest changes in business law and how to adjust operations to be compliant. Topics will include the new minimum wage and federal minimum salary\, hairstyle regulations restrictions\, lactation accommodations\, and sexual harassment training restrictions. \n\n\n\nAccording to the study by global insurer Hiscox\, U.S. based companies have a 10.5% chance of having an employment charge filed against them\; however\, the risk for businesses in California and Nevada are 46% and 55% percent higher than average\, respectively. Many charges can be prevented by remaining informed on employment law changes. \n\n\n\nWorkshop facilitators\, Keenan Hawkins and Damon Booth\, are both associate attorneys of MOBO Law who are licensed to practice law in both California and Nevada. Hawkins focuses his practice on business\, construction\, and intellectual property law\, while Booth focuses his practice on business law\, civil litigation\, and estate planning. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe cost for each Level UP Workshop is $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-chamber members.
