DESCRIPTION:Tahoe Chamber is hosting a primary election forum for the four candidates running for Douglas County Commission on Thursday evening\, May 12th from 6:00 PM to approximately 7:30 PM. The meeting will be hosted on Zoom.\n\n\n\nEach candidate will provide an opening statement as to why he or she is running and\, if elected\, the key issues they intend to address.\n\n \n\n\nThe candidates will then respond to a series of questions from a panel assembled by Tahoe Chamber\, followed by questions submitted from the audience\, to the extent time allows. As each forum concludes\, each candidate will be given the opportunity for closing statement and to identify their campaign website for further information and dialogue with voters.\n\n\n\nThe primary election date is Tuesday\, June 14th. County election officials report that mail-in ballots will begin to arrive by Wednesday\, May 25th.\n\n\n\n\nParticipants in the Douglas County Commission Forum (listed alphabetically)\n\nJanet Murphy\n\nWes Rice \n\nNatalie Yanish\n\nAlso appearing will be District 2 candidate Sharla Hales (running unopposed)\n\n\n\nThere is no fee to attend.
