Ribbon Cutting Ceremony- Tahoe Toys and Treasures
Tahoe Toys and Treasure invites the community to celebrate the opening of their new business with a ribbon cutting ceremony with TahoeChamber on August 8 at 11am. Owner France Carreau invites parents and their children to check out her new store and meet special guest Gumby. The first 30 children to visit the store will receive special door prizes. Tahoe Toys and Treasures offer a large variety of toys for kids of all ages. This store carries an organic clothing line and greeting cards, as well as kites, hula hoops, bubbles, books, games, dolls and more. Kids may read books in the specially created reading nook and play with kitchen sets or builders tools. Gift wrapping services are also available. Located at 3053 Harrison Avenue next to Snow-Flake Drive In. Tahoe Toys and Treasures is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 8pm and weekends from 11am to 4pm. Members Meet Up Lunch
Join TahoeChamber and its ambassadors at the Members Meet Up Lunch, an intimate networking session exclusive to Chamber members. This monthly event offers members the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses to a dynamic group of professionals. Create Your Business Plan Workshop
The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of South Lake Tahoe, is offering a Create Your Business Plan workshop series this fall on three consecutive Wednesdays beginning August 20. By the end of the three 90-minute sessions participants will have a completed draft of a business plan. Topics covered during the sessions include business vision and mission, overall business objectives, competitor analysis, unique selling proposition, business strategies, budget, income projections, startup capital and an action plan that describes what specific tasks entrepreneurs must complete now and going forward as they grow their businesses. This workshop is ideal for those thinking about starting a new business or current business owners who need to update or fine tune their existing plans. The series will be held on August 20, 27 and September 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the TahoeChamber at 169 Hwy. 50, Stateline, Nevada. The cost of the workshop, which is being offered as part of the Tahoe Tactical Team coaching program, is $25 for all three sessions or $10 per session for TahoeChamber members and $50 for all three sessions or $20 per session for non-members.

City Council Candidates Forum
Get to know more about the candidates running for South Lake Tahoe City Council at this informative forum produced by TahoeChamber and Tahoe Daily Tribune. Seven candidates are running for three open spots. The candidates include incumbents Tom Davis, Brooke Laine and Angela Swanson, as well as four challengers: Wendy David, Bruce Grego, Matt Palacio and Austin Sass. A mixer hosted by Tahoe Regional Young Professionals (TRYP) will immediately follow the forum at Lake Tahoe Golf Course. $10 for non-members.

Measure F will generate 55 million in bond funds to be matched with funds from Sacramento dollar for dollar thereby doubling our local investment. Immediate return on this investment will be evident in the construction trades while longer term return on investment will be seen in new and improved programming keeping pace with other higher educational institutions, a more qualified workforce that in turn improves profitability of businesses and higher home property values. SUP and Sip BAHM!

The BAHM! will begin with a one-hour SUP on Lake Tahoe from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Paddle boards will be available from South Tahoe SUP to BAHM! attendees. The Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!) will continue at 5:30 pm at the South Tahoe Standup Paddle Retail Shop and will feature wine from Boeger.
